The EntreMeadas exhibition presented the textile production of master craftswomen from different regions of São Paulo state in order to rethink the place of handicrafts today and to value its plurality. Curated by Adélia Borges, it brought around 60 works that gathered a diverse set of techniques and initiatives.

One of the most important premises of the project is that the way that objects are presented to us interferes with the way we perceive them. Thus, handmade production, often not properly valued, has been brought into focus here in order to be appreciated. The extremely permeable exhibition design allowed for different routes and invited the visitor to cross it. Since the area for the exhibition was located in a large covered square - for circulation and access - at the entrance to the SESC Vila Mariana building, it was decided for it to dialogue with the uses, flows and architecture of the space.

Textile wefts, wefts with fibers, embroidery, lines and threads inspired the exhibition design. The space was formed by a large three-dimensional weave arranged in four inclined axes, which also created new wefts from the overlapping of the planes as the observer moved. The works were on this thread walls, and also in showcases and benches. Vigorous and joyful colors - magenta, red and orange - built the thread and displayed the precious and powerful work of the master artisans.
