aguadouro
set design and costume design
Set design, costume and scenic elements for the play Aguadouro - written and conceived by Cristiane Velasco. The monologue mixed fantastic and poetic images with everyday situations through the story of 7 women. The story told by each one was, in fact, the story of a single woman revealing her various internal landscapes. In the artist's words:
“In times of external acceleration, anxiety and depression, Aguadouro is an invitation to dive into the internal world, to rediscover the waters running deep, an eternal attempt in becoming"
Originally conceived to be an itinerant show, the set design needed to be portable and, therefore, also very versatile. The scenic elements were lean and performed multiple functions.
